We established our international postal solution over 25 years ago, and now we operate the widest network of international mailing agents, are part of Europe's second largest postal group, and provide a comprehensive range of mail fulfilment and sorting services.

BTB Mailflight's aim is to provide clients with a full range of reliable low cost postal services whether they are mailing to UK or international addresses, need priority or standard/economy delivery, and no matter what they are mailing i.e. direct mail, magazines, products etc.

Royal Mail
BTB Mailflight are one of Royal Mail's largest partners and we are able to ensure clients can take advantage of Royal Mail's complete range of options including Mailsort, Presstream, Walksort, Mailsort Light, Mailsort OCR, Mailsort CBC, Packetpost and Parcel services.

We are licensed to print barcodes for CBC Mailsort mailings, and are able to print Mailsort OCR approved fonts. We can also set up PO Boxes and handle the mailing returns and responses.

DownStream Access
The UK postal market was opened up to competition in 2003, ending Royal Mail's 350 year monopoly, so for certain types of mail it is now possible to make considerable postage savings using what are known as Downstream Access postal services (DSA).

We have developed out own downstream access solution, and can also fulfil mailings for clients that have their own DSA agreements with the likes of DHL, UK Mail, TNT, DX etc.

Courier
BTB Mailflight’s main courier partner for UK parcel deliveries is DHL with whom we have negotiated preferential trade rates, and their performance has been excellent. The multiple delivery attempts and card options provided maximise the chance of a successful delivery and a happy customer. We also work with the likes of UPS and DPD for certain types of work.

Priority postal services
As part of the La Poste Group, Europe's second largest postal operator, we have access to a worldwide network of Priority postal routes so whether it's a weekly magazine or newspaper, or a time critical direct mail campaign, or even a trackable parcel, you can be assured to get it to the required destination fast. Typical delivery aims are 2-4 days for western europe and 4-8 days for the rest of world (read more about delivery aims). We have achieved the IMDAS accreditation which proves that our priority postal delivery aims are accurate and the services are reliable.

Standard/Economy postal services worldwide
If your mailing is not time critical or can be planned in advance then why not use standard/economy postal services. BTB Mailflight's standard/economy postal services are still very reliable and the mail will typically be delivered within 4 to 10 days in western europe and 6-15 days in the rest of the world (although some services do vary depending on country, region, and postal operator, click here for more information about delivery aims). These are the same delivery aims that most of our competitors work within as well. However we have our own network of routes worldwide and relationships with agents that have been developed over 25 years, so we are a very important client internationally, and we believe this helps ensure more of our mail get delivered closer to the lower timescale.

Mail Consolidation
We consolidate international mail from many clients, this gives us huge buying power and we use this power to negotiate rates with many international postal operators who fight for this work i.e. La Poste, Deutsche Post, Swiss Post, Mail Africa, USPS, Royal Mail International etc. Fundamentally this is international postage brokering, and most of these postal operators only deal with the trade and not end clients.

Direct Entry / Local Look Mail
BTB Mailfight operates more direct entry postal services than anyone else, with direct entry mailing agents in over 70 countries. Direct Entry is simply a style of international mailing where each mail piece is customised to the local market it is being sent to. Whereas your marketing agency will customise the creative to ensure the language and imagery fits with local culture, Direct Entry does the same with the format of the mail piece. The service provides:

Local PPI (Postage Printed Impression) for the individual country.
Mail piece design to fit within local mailing regulations.
Local return address for responses.
'Best rate' postage charges based on negotiated rates with overseas post offices and private agents

Periodical Postal Solutions (magazines and journals)
Most magazine publishers are aware of the Presstream postal services of Royal Mail and the alternative hand delivery options for the distribution of magazines in the UK, but did you know that similar services are also available in countries worldwide? BTB Mailflight have agreements with several global postal operators where we sort magazine mailings to their 'Presstream equivalent' standards (i.e. Magstream, US Periodicals etc) before injecting into their postal system, enabling us to achieve these postage discounts only available to magazine publishers. We also operate the largest network of hand delivery agents, delivering mail to all corners of the world and many of these provide specific magazine distribution services.

The level of discount will depend on the degrees of sortation, quantities, frequency, and countries being mailed to, but they can be substantial.

M-Bags (postal delivery of heavier mail)
If you have a need to send over two kilos of mail to one destination or you have a lot of mail going to one client on a regular basis then our M-Bag service is a very cost effective option. M-Bags are a way of shipping all mail for one location in a sealed and secure specific bag, therefore all mail is delivered at the same time and in good condition.

Normal international mail is designed for up to two kilos per piece, with M-Bags you can place as much mail as you can for one address into our specifically designed bags with a weight limit of 25 kilos. M-Bags are individually priced and are much more cost effective, as there are lower sortation and delivery costs.

Remail - if you want another mailing house/printer to handle the fulfilment
You don't need to use our fulfilment services to benefit from our international postal contracts. We can allow you to use our licensed postal indicias and return addresses and we will provide design instructions and sortation guidance to you or your printer/mailing house. You then deliver the mailing into us, we consolidate it, and remail the items worldwide using one, or several postal services.

Returns handling
Most of our international postal services provide free returns handling, and our local look service even offers local return addresses to help improve response rates. We can forward returns onto clients or data capture the return details and provide this back to clients as a data file.

International courier services
We work with a number of international courier companies who provide us with trade rates. This includes courier deliveries to residential and business addresses with signed-for and trackable options available across Europe and beyond.
